Erin Leonard, 19-year-old, lives in Bristol, UK. Unfortunately, in 2018 she was a victim of an unprovoked attack, which was filmed and uploaded on social media. The video went viral with over 100,000 views. This incident devastated her to the point that she was afraid to go outside. She suffered hugely from PTSD and depression.

When she needed the most, a local gym owner stepped up to teach her self-defense classes free of cost to help her regain confidence.

During the lockdown, Erin went on to become a carer and now looks after vulnerable patients, helping them to remain safe and healthy. Erin said, "I need to be here looking after vulnerable people. They need me the most, and I cannot leave them." Her mother, Amanda, added, "Erin makes me burst with pride every day. She is my hero."

You Humanity pays respect and gratitude to Erin Leonard for going above and beyond to contribute towards Humanity.
